"Kean Slaters has grown into one of the largest roofing companies in Tayside, with a staff of 12, including 10 out doing roofing work, but boss Charlie Kean emphasises that no job is too small, with private houses just as important to them as whole office buildings."

For the past 20 years KEAN SLATERS (Dundee) Ltd has been building a reputation for quality and reliability. Now, with the move last month into new, custom-built premises at Herons Lane, Lochee, up-to-date information systems, along with larger storage and mechanical handling facilities, will enable the firm to offer even better customer service than ever.

And that won't be easy, considering a recent independent survey carried out on behalf of Dundee Trading Standards indicated that overall customer satisfaction with the service provided by Kean Slaters was 98.5%.

This was done under the auspices of the Dundee Trusted Traders scheme, set up last year to assess the work of companies and weed out "cowboys".
It includes not just the standard of the actual work, but, for example, how tidy the premises were left afterwards and the attitudes of the workmen doing the job.

The company, a member of Scottish Building and Scottish Master Slaters, as well as being registered with SEPA and the Construction Industry Training Board, also sends out its own questionnaire to customers to ensure high standards are always maintained.

Kean Slaters undertakes a wide range of roofing work, from cleaning out and replacing rhones to completely re-roofing houses, factory buildings and larger types of industrial type contracts and grant work. There's also a 24-hour emergency call out service.
